DEATH CONSENT
Sonder’s Rules of Death Consent
Sonder’s Rules of Death Consent
All Players have a right to decide the story they tell with their characters. Outside of certain situations detailed later in these rules, all players are able to demand no death in combat, which other players must honour.
Exceptions
Events: all events must feature a tag being either Peaceful, Moderate or Violent. Peaceful events will have no harm befall players, either through DM or Player interactions. Moderate events can have harm occur to characters, either through DM or Player interactions. Violent events are expected to feature combat, and run a real risk of harm or death to characters. All DM events carry the possibility of having rating changes due to player decisions.
All players attending a player event are expected to respect player event ratings. If for whatever reason a character's death consent has been voided in a previous event, the death consent is reinstated for the duration and while attending a Peaceful event. To be removed again immediately after. If combat MUST happen, any players wishing to engage in combat must leave the event entirely and may not return, furthermore, all players engaging in combat in this way must agree to the interaction.
