Life

“All creatures, moment to moment, are able to adapt and rise above adversity. It is one of the greatest wonders that life always finds the means to survive even the vilest scourge.”


Life magic thrives in the ability to sustain, maintaining nature against threats to their wellbeing.
It has the greatest healing potential out of all Enkindled magics, using health as a vital resource.

Due to this however, it struggles to bear a sense of danger to threats, instead warding them off. There may be means in the future to provide Life with such lethality, as a perversion of it.

In essence, Life has the ability to keep creatures well and thriving, but struggles to harm them.

Name: Remedy Bind

Description: The caster is able to use their Astrium to heal a single target. Upon being touched, the target will immediately be cleansed of a single negative effect and heal a Moderate Wound of damage.

Casting Time: Bonus Action
Duration: 6 rounds
Roll to Cast: No Roll
Description: The caster creates a bond between themselves and another player, plant or animal. They can communicate freely with their target for the duration. To communicate with unwilling targets, the caster must make a [Mind + Arcana] contest against the targets [Mind + Charisma].

Additionally, if the target receives a wound, the caster can choose to evenly split the damage between them both.
For example: A Major Wound for the target becomes a Moderate Wound for the caster and the target.
Minor Wounds are unaffected by this spell. This spell can only exist as one instance at a time.

Description: The caster forms an attack to directly weaken a target within range. The target receives roll damage up to a Moderate Wound, [Poisoned] and -1 successes on attack rolls for 1 round.

Description: The caster forms an attack to poison a target within range. The target receives roll damage as well becoming [Poisoned]. The target will also be unable to deal damage above a Moderate Wound for the duration.

Effect: Boon
Range: 5 Blocks/Self
Casting Time: 1 turn
Duration: 2 Rounds
Roll to Cast: Mind + Arcana, 3+ Successes
Description: The caster selects two targets within range. With success, the two targets will have Minor Healing and will be Immune to Negative Effects for the duration. If a target was already inflicted with any negative effects, they will be Cleansed of them.

Description: The caster uses their magic to heal up to three allies ahead of them that are within their range. All targets affected will receive Moderate Healing and will be cleansed of 1 negative effect.
